Join together

The new Knucklas allotments and the growing field provide a place for food and community spirit to grow. Over the next few years, our sleeping castle mound will provide a harvest of information – a feast for fresh minds eager to learn of Knucklas’ place in the heritage of the Marches.

Supporters of this project promote growth – growth in understanding, growth in new and traditional skills, growth in community well being.

We are here to promote the fun of having our own village Castle Mound. We are also here to join together – to help and encourage all to balance their actions alongside Mother Nature.

This is a big planet-wide job – thankfully, Knucklas is NOT alone. There is a world transition spirit growing – a spirit that needs to spread globally for a healthier harvest for all.

To every friend of the project and to those we’ve yet to befriend, thank you for visiting our web site.

Welcome to the Castle and the heart of the Project’s community spirit.

Many thanks to Mark Walters for this new view.

It raises some interesting questions about the way the castle has been used over the many years of its existence.

We are also on the Welsh governments catalogue of heritage buildings here Coflein

Site & location

The 21 acre site, including a Cadw scheduled monument, has been bought by some philanthropic locals who are leasing it to KCCLP whilst the money is raised to purchase the site for the whole community.

Surrounding Area

Sited at the confluence of the Teme and Heyope valleys in Radnorshire, Knucklas Castle overlooks Shropshire's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Offa's Dyke and the River Teme, the border between Wales and England. This part of Wales has many delights to discover.
